  • NHL Career

    Exelby was drafted 217th overall in the 1999 NHL Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. He was assigned to the Western Hockey League for two seasons starting in 2000. Exelby played almost two seasons in the American Hockey League with the Chicago Wolves before making his NHL debut with the Thrashers in 2003. On July 17, 2007, Exelby signed a contract extension to stay with the Thrashers.
