Grammy nominated alternative rock band Garbage debuted in 1995 and their first album hit the Billboard 200 list at #193. They won the 1996 MTV Europe Music Award for "Best Breakout Artist." The group sold over 14 million albums worldwide before splitting up after the release of the album Absolute Garbage in 2007. Lead singer Shirley Manson embarked on a solo career in 2008.
