GarageBand is a digital music production program available exclusively for the Mac OS X operating system. Users can input live instruments or use virtual instruments and loops included with the software. They can then edit and mix recordings together to create original compositions. New features were released with GarageBand 09, which was unveiled at MacWorld 2009. Expansion
Apple offers additional virtual instruments for Garageband in a series of expansion packs called GarageBand Jam Packs.
