• Galaxy Quest is a 1999 film in which the washed up stars of a fictional Star Trek-like television show are taken into space by actual aliens who confuse them for real heroes. While the cast members of the series have all fallen on hard times, their abduction forces them to work together to protect the aliens and become actual heroes. The film was critically acclaimed and went on to be modestly profitable at the box office.
