Gaines Adams Background
Prior to playing in the NFL, Adams was a standout NCAA Football player for the Clemson Tigers. He earned All-American, All-ACC and ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2006. Adams was selected fourth overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played two seasons in Tampa Bay before he was traded to the Chicago Bears on October 19, 2009.
