Gabrielle Union is an African-American actress who has appeared in television series and films.

Union was married to NFL's Chris Howard from 2001-2005. She also dated another sport icon, basketball player Jason Kidd while she was in high school.

Union attended high school in Pleasonton, California where she participated in soccer, basketball and track. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociology. While interning at a model agency, she was offered a job modeling with them. Eventually she moved into acting with minor roles in teen-focused films such as 10 Things I Hate About You and She's All That. Her most successful role to date was as Will Smith's love interest in the action-comedy Bad Boys 2.
