Professional basketball guard Gabe Pruitt currently plays for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association.
Hours after the Celtics played the Los Angeles Clippers, Pruitt was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles. He was initially stopped for having illegally tinted windows and being stopped at a green light. A field sobriety test determined that he had been drinking. NBA Career
Priutt was drafted out of the University of Southern California, 32nd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2007 NBA draft. He split his first season between the Celtics and the National Basketball Association Development League. Pruitt played a total of 15 games and scored 32 points during the 2007-2008 regular season with the Celtics.
He saw action in 36 games in the 2008-2009 season, recording 84 points, 32 rebounds, 29 assists, 11 steals and two blocks. Pruitt helped the Celtics win the NBA Championship over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Career Highlights
During Pruitt's senior year in high school, in 2004, he earned several All-American honors, including by Parade Magazine.
