The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as the FLDS, is a sect that practices a fundamentalist form of Mormonism. The FLDS is no longer affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon Church. It continues to practice polygamy. The doctrine has been rejected by modern Mormonism.
In March 2009, FLDS members of the YFZ Ranch filed a motion to seal the abuse investigation of a 17-year-old girl. The motion also asks that all evidence seized from ranch be returned. A hearing on the motion has not yet been scheduled.Deseret News: Lawyers want to seal FLDS case (March 30, 2009)

Law enforcement raided Jeffs' Yearning for Zion ranch in 2008 and removed 52 children after allegations of sexual abuse. During the course of the investigation over 400 children were removed by child protective services.
