Fulton, KY is a small town of approximately 5,000 residents. It is the most populated city in Fulton County, the westernmost county in the state of Kentucky.
It was once known as the 'Banana Capital of the World' because trains would stop in Fulton, the halfway point of the New Orleans-Chicago line to re-ice loads of imported bananas.
