Fullmetal Alchemist is a popular Manga series that was adapted to anime. It appears on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. The story is about Edward and Alphonse Elric who are brothers that live in Resembool. Their father Hohenheim left them when they were young and their mother died from an illness. Edward tries to bring their mother back through alchemy but the attempt fails and resulted in Edward losing his leg and Alphonse losing his body. Edward tried to save his brother by affixing his right arm to a suit of armor. Eventually, Roy Mustang arrives in the village and after meeting the boys, he asks them to be State Alchemists and work for him. They agreed and set out to restore all that they have lost. They hear about the Philosopher's Stone and they begin to look for it. The boys find information about the stone and meet people along the way who also want to find the stone.
