According to the Orlando Sentinel, Florida State University will suspend 23 football players for abuse of testing procedures during an online music history course. The football players in question are expected to miss 3 games, including the upcoming Music City Bowl against Kentucky.

- Thirty-six Florida State University players, including 13 starters, will not be traveling with the Seminoles to the Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn., because of academic cheating, violations of team rules, injuries or other reasons. The number of players, which includes 25 on scholarships, was determined Saturday by comparing the travel list for the Dec. 31 game against the University of Kentucky with the team's full roster.
