'Frontline is a Public Broadcasting System (PBS) television series that presents varying length documentaries addressing current events and issues. Usually one hour in length, some episodes have been 90 minutes long, or even longer. Since its inception in 1983, Frontline has shown more than 480 films, some by independent filmmakers, and garnered numerous awards. During every presidential election, Frontline provides in-depth profiles of the presidential candidates. Since 1995, Frontline has provided a companion website that includes primary source materials, interviews, chronologies, and essays. They have also made many of their documentaries, over 64, available for free download from their website.
