FrontierVille Gold Rush is a new area that can be explored in FrontierVille, the browser game developed by Zynga Game Network Inc. for Facebook. FrontierVille was released on June 09, 2010 and in the game the player will have the chance to explore the Wild West. There are several options included in FrontierVille, such as the possibility to harvest crops, feed animals, manage a town and even fight varmints. The playing area where the character starts his adventure has 4 road signs pointing to 4 areas, each of them named differently. One of these areas that are currently under development is Gold Rush. The message that appears when player are trying to access Gold Rush, is:

"Yeeeeeeeeehaaw! That’s the sound of “Gold Fever” !Stake your claim and strike it rich in the mountains of Gold Rush! Watch out for claim-jumpers!"

There is another Gold Rush available on Facebook, however this can be found in Treasure Madness, an exploration game that allows the players to find buried treasures and complete collections that can be traded. This feature is also available in FrontierVille, where players can clear the land and complete different collections that can be traded for bonuses. However there is no official news that the Gold Rush from FrontierVille will be similar to the one from Treasure Madness.
