This FrontierVille food Guide can help players understand what type of food is available in FrontierVille, the building/farming browser game developed by Zynga Game Network Inc. for Facebook fans. Food is important in FrontierVille because it is a source of energy, allowing players to perform various actions and advance in the game. Food can be obtained by harvesting trees and tending to animals on both a player's farm and neighbor's farms. This page provides information about the various types of food available in FrontierVille and how this food can be used to level up in the game.
Released on June 09, 2010, FrontierVille is a mix between Farmville, Treasure Isle and Tiki Farm, using some of the features available in these games. Therefore, players should expect to harvest crops, explore the land, feed the animals and eventually create the ultimate West frontier town by increasing the number of buildings and the income. The action takes place in the wilderness where the player starts only with a wagon and has to use his farming and exploring skills to clear the land and provide a source for food and raw materials.http://www.zynga.com/games/facebook.php
FrontierVille Gameplay
In FrontierVille, each action performed by the characters requires energy points. Since the energy is consumed fast, the best way to replenish it is to consume food. Food can be obtained by harvesting crops or by tending trees and/or animals. Players can collect food from tending their own area or they can visit friends and perform the same actions to get food. FrontierVille food is also available via special meals. These meals can be found in the market and they award different amounts of energy to the characters. Some of the meals available in FrontierVille are:
- Light Snack: Costs: 25 Food and provides 3 Energy Points
- Breakfast: Costs 50 Food and provides 7 Energy Points
- Lunch: Costs: 100 Food and provides 15 Energy Points
To purchase light snacks, breakfast, lunches and dinners, players only need to "pay" with food. Other larger meals, including beef jerky (which refills energy to the max), must be purchased using horseshoes - the currency available in FrontierVille.
A good way to increase the amount of food in FrontierVille, is to hire neighbors to help the character perform more actions even if a player runs out of energy. Only two neighbors can be "hired" each day - but additional neighbors can visit other players and harvest crops, feed animals and perform other food-bearing actions. Players who get help from visiting friends should collect any food supplied quickly. This will allow the player to purchase additional meals and thus, get more energy to keep playing the game. A similar strategy can be applied for acquiring wood.http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gamehunters/post/2010/06/zynga-expands-social-gaming-with-new-offering-frontierville/1?csp=34tech
FrontierVille Tutorial
The video above is a small tutorial teaching players how to harvest crops and buy meals in FrontierVille. Since each action requires energy, as soon as the energy bar empties the player has to buy meals to continue playing the game. After harvesting the crops, the player is able to pick up the food that drops. This food can then be used to purchase meals. The meals allow a player to gain more energy and complete more actions and advance in the game.
