Synopsis
Mainly written by series co-creator Peter David, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man further delved into the adventures of Spider-Man with stories that often took glimpses into the future with alternate realities.Spider-Man enemies The Vulture, Mysterio, and Sandman make appearances in the series, albeit with new people sometimes donning the costumes.
For the "Back in Black" storyline from issues 20 through 23, Spider-Man wore his black costume again to battle the deadly Miss Arrow. Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was canceled in 2007 in order to make way for Amazing Spider-Man three times a month.
