Friday Night Lights

Friday Night Lights is a TV series that follows a high school football team in Texas. It's based on a 1990 book which also inspired a 2004 film of the same name. The film stared Billy Bob Thornton and the television series stars Kyle Chandler. In March of 2009, NBC announced Friday Night Lights would be renewed for 2 additional seasons, bringing to the total to 5.Reuters: NBC Renews Friday Night Lights (March 30, 2009)
