Friday Night Lights Direct TV

- DirectTV premiere: October 1, 2008

- Fans launched an online campaign to save the show from cancellation

Direct TV will be airing the third season of Friday Night Lights beginning on October 1, 2008. The thirteen episode order will run on the network. Each episode on DirecTV will have no commercials. NBC will the air the episodes again, with commercials and extra content, in 2009. The deal was struck when DirecTV offered to pay for the production costs of the program in exchange for a licensing agreement.MSNBC: Friday Night Lights To Return In The Fall (April 2, 2008)
