Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 pie crust, purchased or baked and cooled (8 inch)
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings, as an optional topping

How to Make French Silk Pie
- Mix butter and sugar together in a medium bowl using an electric mixer.
- Mix in the melted and cooled chocolate and vanilla extract.
- Add eggs, one at a time while continuing to mix for five minutes between adding each egg.
- Transfer the mixture evenly into the prepared pie crust and refrigerate for a minimum of two hours.
- Cut into eight slices and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
