Indian model and film actress Freida Pinto made her acting debut in director Danny Boyle's 2008 drama Slumdog Millionaire. Pinto modeled for two years prior to auditioning for film roles. Her new releases will be Miral and a untitled Woody Allen project.

Pinto has been cast in Woody Allen's latest film which is set in London, England. The film will also star Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins and Naomi Watts. Filming is set to begin in July of 2009.
