In November 2009, SOE announced that all classes would be made free up until level 5. Prior to this, some classes required a paid membership even to try them.

1. Pets - Players can own and take care of pets. You can play with them, train them and have them follow you around.
2. Card Game - There is a card game in Free Realms where players can challenge each other. Besides playing online, there is also a real-life trading card game to complement the MMORPG.Official Site: Card Game
3. Social Networking - Players can create there own Web pages to show people and make new friends online to play with in the game.
4. Mini Games - There are several mini games including ones that allow you to mine for gold, make food dishes and race in vehicles against others.
