Candy for a Good Cause
To open the Real Chocolate Relief Act promotion, Mars, Incorporated invited actor Neil Patrick Harris to distribute candy bars in Times Square in New York City. With the help of two life-sized M&M pieces, Harris spent 90 minutes on May 7, 2009, handing out candy to fans and residents. He described the situation as fun, yet overwhelming as many people came to the event.
