EA, publisher of the Command & Conquer series, has released their Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun, Command & Conquer Tiberian Dawn, and Command & Conquer Red Alert completely free.

EA released the games and expansion sets as part of their promotion activity for the upcoming Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, which is due out to be released on March 16, 2010.
EA stated on the release:
"Today is a very special day for Command & Conquer fans world-wide, and for some of us, we can call it an early Valentine's Day.
"We might swear the timing is coincidental! As of this moment, you can now officially relive the glory of Tiberian Sun & the expansion pack Firestorm on your PC with our new freeware offerings.

The Tiberian Sun, Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert 1 games are by many viewed as some of the best Real Time Strategy games available.
Tiberian Dawn was the original Command & Conquer, released in 1995
Red Alert, the less serious branch of the Command & Conquer universe, was originally released in 1996,
Tiberian Sun was originally released in 1999, and its expansion pack Firestorm was released in 2000.
