  • NHL Career

    Modin was drafted 64th overall in the 1994 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. After playing in Sweden for two seasons after the draft, Modin joined the Maple Leafs for his NHL debut in 1996. On October 1, 1999, Modin was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning and helped the team capture the Stanley Cup Championship in 2004. He played in Sweden during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout before returning to the Lightning. Modin was traded shortly after the 2005-06 season, to the Columbus Blue Jackets on June 30, 2006.
