Alfred Thomas Highmore was born in London, England on February 14, 1992. His mother, Sue Latimer, is a talent agent for clients including Daniel Radcliffe. His father, Edward Highmore, is also an actor. He has a younger brother named Albert who was born in 1995. The family resides in North London suburb Highgate. Highmore currently attends Highgate School.Early Career
At the age of seven, Highmore had small parts on television. His major breakthrough came in 2004 for his role in Finding Neverland, which starred Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. His role in this movie earned him several awards and nominations. His wins include the Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast and a Satellite Award for Outstanding New Talent.Major Roles
In 2005, Highmore was personally recommended for the part of Charlie Bucket in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, from Finding Neverland co star Johnny Depp. Depp was impressed by Highmore's talent.
