Fred Armisen

Fred Armisen is an actor, comedian and a cast member of Saturday Night Live.

During the 1990s, Armisen was a touring musician who played drums in a punk band called Trenchmouth. He transitioned from music to comedy in 1998 when he released his short film, Fred Armisen's Guide to Music and South by Southwest. In the film, Armisen posed as a reporter at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas.

Soon after Armisen began doing stand-up comedy, he began appearing on Saturday Night Live as a featured player. In 2004, he was added to the cast as a full time member.
