Frank Navetta was a guitarist and co-founding member of The Descendents, a punk band from Manhattan Beach, California. Navetta formed the band in 1978 with bassist Tony Lombardo and drummer Bill Stevenson. The trio was joined by singer Milo Aukerman in 1981. After recording an EP and two albums with the band, Navetta left the group in 1985. He moved to Oregon and began working as a fisherman. According to a statement on The Descendents' official site, Navetta passed away on October 31, 2008. It was reported that he had been suffering from an unnamed illness for a short time.
