Foxy Brown is a female rapper and hip-hop artist from Brooklyn, New York. Her debut album Ill Na Na was released in 1996 and sold more than 109,000 copies the first week. Included in the album was her first hit single "I'll Be" which she recorded with Jay-Z. On May 13, 2008, Brown released her fourth album Brooklyn's Don Diva.

Legal Troubles
Aside from her successful career in music, Brown has received much publicity for her run-ins with the law. In May of 2008, she reportedly pleaded guilty to threatening her neighbor with her cell phone. The neighbor was issued a protective order keeping Brown at a distance. Brown was also ordered to write a letter of apology. On May 1, 2009, the lawsuit against Brown was dropped.
In 1997, Brown was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service after spitting on two hotel workers when they didn't provide her with an iron.
Brown was sentenced to a year in jail for an alleged August 2004 fight with two manicurists over a dispute with money.
