  • The Fox News Channel is a cable news network owned by News Corp. The station's slogans are "We Report. You Decide." and "Fair and Balanced." It currently leads the cable news market, with an average 3.3 million daily viewers, and was the number six overall cable network in 2007.

    In April 2009, Fox rejected President Barack Obama's request for primetime coverage of his 100-day news conference. The network will, instead, air their detective drama Lie to Me.     The network features a number of prominent shows, including Bill O'Reilly's The O'Reilly Factor, which is the top rated cable news show, as well Hannity and Colmes which features conservative pundit Sean Hannity and liberal pundit Alan Colmes. Other prominent hosts include Greta Van Susteren, Shepard Smith and Brit Hume.
  • Conservative Bias

    Fox News has been attacked as having a conservative bias when reporting the news, and the perceived bias was the subject of the documentary Outfoxed. Liberal commentator Al Franken also blasted Fox News in his book Lies and the Lying Liers Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right. News Corp. president Rupert Murdoch is a well known conservative.
  • Red Eye Remarks

    On an episode of the Fox News late-night series Red Eye that aired on March of 2009, host Greg Gutfeld and panelists, including comedian Doug Benson, mocked a statement made by Canadian Lt. Gen. Andrew Leslie, noting that the Canada military would need a year-long break from operations in Afghanistan starting in 2011. Gutfeld said that the soldiers would need time off to do yoga and get manicures, while Benson noted that he had not been aware Canadians were serving in Afghanistan.
