• Plot Summary

  When Charles (Hugh Grant) and Carrie (Andie MacDowell) meet at a mutual friend's wedding, there is an instant connection between them. However, Carrie must return to the United States the following day and when they see each other again at another wedding four months later, Carrie is engaged to another man. Charles and Carrie continue to bump into each other and feel the same connection, but the timing is never right for them to pursue a romantic relationship.
