When looking for your perfect shade of foundation apply to your makeup-free jawline and blend in to your skin. If it doesn't disappear into your skin look for a different shade. Foundation looks darker in the bottle than it does on your skin, so don't purchase a foundation without trying it on your skin. If you are in between two shades you can combine them.Try and examine the foundation on your face in natural light.
There is a some variety in foundation brands. Some have a shiny finish while others are matte. Choose a finish that you like or looks good on you.
If you have oily skin choose an oil free foundation. If your skin is dry get a foundation with a built-in moisturizer.
