Fort Hood is the United States Army's largest military installation, located near Killeen, Texas, from Austin. Fort Hood has been the location that has incurred the most casualties of the American bases during the Iraq War.
At approximately 1:30 P.M. on November 5, 2009, a gunman, reportedly Major Malik Nadal Hasan, opened fire on the base. He killed eleven soldiers. Thirty-one were wounded.http://www.mahalo.com/fort-hood-shooting
