Foreigner's self-titled debut album would go multi-platinum and kick off a long and successful career for the rock band. After three successful albums in the late '70s, Foreigner transitioned smoothly into the next decade with their fourth album, 4, which incorporated synthesizers into the sound and sold over six million copies in the United States. The following album included their only number one hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is."
Despite that being Foreigner's only chart-topper, the band's list of hit songs is extensive, including "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision," "Feels Like the First Time," "Juke Box Hero," and "Urgent."
Foreigner are a British-American rock band formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran English musicians Mick Jones, ex-King Crimson member an McDonald, and American vocalist Lou Gramm (Louis Grammatico).
Foreigner released their newest album on October 2, 2009 titled Can't Slow Down. It was one of several recent classic rock releases (AC/DC, The Eagles, Journey, and Kiss being four others) to be released exclusively through the Wal-Mart stores chain in the US while in Europe the album has been released by earMUSIC (a label part of the Edel group), charting top 20 in Germany (16) and Top 30 in Switzerland.http://www.foreigneronline.com/about.html
