  • Foreigner's self-titled debut album would go multi-platinum and kick off a long and successful career for the rock band. After three successful albums in the late '70s, Foreigner transitioned smoothly into the next decade with their fourth album, 4, which incorporated synthesizers into the sound and sold over six million copies in the United States. The following album included their only number one hit, "I Want to Know What Love Is."

Despite that being Foreigner's only chart-topper, the band's list of hit songs is extensive, including "Cold As Ice," "Hot Blooded," "Double Vision," "Feels Like the First Time," "Juke Box Hero," and "Urgent."
