"Whether on the highway or surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the big city, the 2010 Ford Taurus' cabin remains calm and quiet. Sleek aerodynamics and generous sound insulation help keep wind and road noise down to whisper levels. Bumps and other road imperfections are well absorbed, even with the stiffer SHO's suspension."

"In the end, we prefer to think of Ford's highest-spec Taurus as a compellingly priced full-size luxury car for those who aren't hung up on expensive labels. It's an exceptional executive express, and it'd surely be a monumental partner on a transcontinental journey. It's even a great sleeper in the grand tradition."

  • Model History

Ford Taurus was the first American car to challenge the domination of Toyota and Honda in the American market during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The first models won over many fans because of their sleek futuristic design. Taurus was dropped from production for a few months during 2007, to return in 2008 as a successor to the Ford Five Hundred. In late 2008, the Five Hundred was renamed the Taurus and the Freestyle became the Taurus X.

The Taurus underwent an overhaul for the 2010 model year, in an attempt to improve the look and feel of the car. The redesign debuted at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. ( Car and Driver: 2010 Ford Taurus )
