For Your Consideration is a 2006 Mockumentary film directed by Christopher Guest, which stars Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy, Harry Shearer, Christopher Guest, Ed Begley Jr and Parker Posey. The movie is about three actors who hear a rumor that their performances in the film "Home for Purim," are creating Oscar buzz. Catherine O'Hara and Harry Shearer play Marilyn Hack and Victor Allen Miller, two veteran actors who have been working in hollywood for years but their stars never shined too brightly. Hack's most famous role was as a blind prostitute in the 80s, while Miller's was a as the spokesperson for a popular line of kosher hot dogs. The third actor generating Oscar buzz is Callie Webb (played by Parker Posey), a green actress who portrays a lesbian in "Home for Purim".
For Your Consideration was written by Christopher Guest and Eugene Levy, produced by Karen Murphy and distributed by Warner Independent Pictures. It was the fourth mockumentary film Guest directed, behind Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind.
