For Better or for Worse is a newspaper comic strip that started in the late 1970s. The strip by artist Lynn Johnston has found its way into syndication in over 2,000 publications. In September 2008, Johnston finished the story but began again by re-telling the story from the beginning with new drawings and dialogue for the characters.
