Categories: Products | Home & Garden | Games
    • AKA: Table football; Table soccer; Foozball; Foozeball; Fooseball
    • Based on soccer, or association football
    • Thought to have originated in the late 19th century
    • Official organization: the International Table Soccer Federation
    • Typical foosball table: 4 feet by 2 feet
    • Balls usually made of cork or wood but can also be made with metal or plastic
  • In the game of foosball, opponents compete from opposite sides of a foosball table, each controlling eight rows of miniature soccer players attached to twisting bars alongside the table. By moving the bars, the opponents can pass, block and kick the ball between players and into the opponent's goal. As with traditional soccer, the player (or sometimes team as the game can be played with more than two players) who scores the most goals wins.
