Food Dehydrator

A food dehydrator is a small home appliance used for drying fresh foods.

Drying food is a convenient form of healthy preservation. It preserving food for several months without preservatives.

When looking to buy a food dehydrator look at the construction; you want a machine with a sturdy plastic or metal body. Avoid wooden dehydrators as they could catch fire and are very hard to clean.

Dehydration takes time don't purchase large amounts of food planning to dehydrate them. One cycle takes several hours to finish and depending on the capacity of your dehydrator food will be processed rather slowly.

If you do not have a food dehydrator you can dehydrate your food with a 140ºF warm oven.
