Flushed Away

  • British film studio Aardman Animations, which has produced a collection of stop motion animated films and series including Wallace and Gromit, teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to produce the 2006 computer animated feature Flushed Away. Originally intended to be filmed using stop-motion animation, the filmmakers decided to use computer generated animation because the movie's many underwater shots would damage the plasticine models. However, the characters were drawn to resemble the original models and techniques were employed to create the illusion of stop-motion.
