Floyd Landis is a professional cyclist who won the 2006 Tour de France. In September 2007, Landis was stripped of his championship title for allegedly using performance-enhancing drugs. Landis appealed the decision but lost when a panel ruled on June 30, 2008, that his original positive doping test was valid.
On September 26, 2008, it was reported that Landis planned to appeal to U.S. Federal Courts that his positive steroid doping test which stripped Landis of his Tour de France title was not fairly heard by sports arbitrators.ESPN.com: [Landis claims arbitrators had conflicts of interest]
