On February 7, 2008, World Wrestling Entertainment named Florida Championship Wrestling as its "official development training facility for talent around the globe."WWE.com: WWE To Cease Affiliation With Ohio Valley Wrestling (February 7, 2008)At that time, the FCW was just established by former wrestler Steve Keirn. It had its first show on June 26, 2007, a few months after the WWE's announcement.
