Controversy
Authorities and legal filings claim that Sam Leccima's house renovations on the A&E show Flip This House were scams. Supposedly, Leccima's friends and family were presented as home buyers and sold signs were put in front of houses that were never sold. Sonya McGee, an Atlanta pharmaceutical representative, claims the home repairs were just quick patch jobs designed to look good in front of the camera. Leccima claims that A&E and Departure Films knew what he was doing. Atlanta real estate records show that Leccima never did own several of the properties being repaired on the television show.San Fransisco Chronicle: 'Flip This House' Star Accused of Fraud
