Flickr Video is an internet video sharing service, offered from the photo sharing web site Flickr. It designed to become a competitor of internet video giant YouTube. One of the major differences with Flickr Video is that only allows video clips to be a maximum of 90 seconds in length and/or 150 megabytes in size. The idea is to attempt to prevent users from uploading copyrighted content, and instead force users to post only personal video clips. Flickr announced the launching of Flickr Video on its official Blog by community manager Heather Champ, as well as on TechCrunch via the Shel Israel puppet.
