Instructions for Installing RAM
To remove and install RAM, you'll need to first open your computer's case to access its internal components.
- Once located, you'll need to unlatch them from the slots on the motherboard by unhooking the white clips on both sides of the RAM. Refer to the picture above.
- Remove the RAM by grabbing the sticks on their outside edges. You don't want your fingers to touch the chips on the sides of the RAM.
- Make sure the white clips are pulled back and away so they are not upright. This means they are in the unlatch position.
- Gently slide the RAM into their correct slots. Once seated, push down on one side of the RAM stick, then the other side. You'll hear a click each time indicating that the RAM is snugly in place.
- Attach the white clips in place to securely latch the RAM down.
