ABOUT
The company (Fitbit) developed a compact wireless sensor, known as the "Fitbit" that will monitor and sync the data on a user's general health and physical fitness to the Fitbit website. The sensor will be worn all day and night.
During the TechCrunch50 award ceremony, Fitbit was named one of the panel's six favorite conference presenters.
Among the activities tracked by Fitbit will be the number of calories a user burns, the quality of his or her sleep, the distance he or she travels in a day and the number of steps taken. This information will all be accessible through the company's website.
