  • Fiona Apple is a popular American Singer-Songwriter and pianist whose mercurial personality and dark pop songwriting has made her a unique figure in contemporary music.

    Apple has had four singles that charted, "Shadowboxer," "Sleep to Dream," "Criminal" and "Fast As You Can."

    She released her debut album Tidal in 1996. In total 11.7 million copies were sold, and it went certified platinum three times.

    In 1998, Apple contributed to the Pleasantville movie soundtrack, with covers of the songs "Across the Universe" and "Please Send Me Someone to Love."

    Apple appeared on joke track "Come Over and Get It (Up in 'Dem Guts)" by comedian Zach Galifianakis. The track is completely different then the music that Apple releases on her own.

    She also recorded a cover of the song "Sally's Song" in 2006, for the special edition release of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Also in that same year she recorded a tribute to Elvis Costello for the VH1 Decades of Rock special.
