Find My Family ABC

Find My Family is an ABC reality television show, that is based on the popular Australian version of the same name, and a Dutch show titled Lost Without a Trace.Variety: ...Find My Family Show] The series premiered on November 23, 2009, following Dancing with the Stars, but settled in as a Monday series at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Show researchers being searching for missing family members, who have been adopted by other families. Once they are found and agree to be reunited, hosts Tim Green and Lisa Joyner, both adoptees themselves, reunite the family members who were separated at birth.

Five episodes aired in 2009. The first episode featured the Steinpas family, who hail from Brookfield, Wisconsin. Sandy Steinpas became pregnant, with her then boyfriend Scott , and gave up their daughter for adoption at the age of 15. The couple later married and had three more children, but longed to know their first-born child. The reality show delivered, after finding and reuniting the family with their long-lost daughter.

24-year-old Upper Arlington resident, Ashley Arend, and only child, was featured in the second episode. She was thrilled, when after viewing her adoption papers, that she had a brother, and set her sights on finding him. Find My Family researchers not only located her brother David, but also found that she had a sister named Danielle. In an emotional scene, the three siblings were reunited at the family tree, and also came together in Ashley's hometown.
