The 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament determines determine the national championship in men's college basketball. After the first three rounds of the tournament, four teams, known as the Final Four, are remaining.
The 2009 Final Four began on April 4, 2009, and concluded with the championship game on April 6, 2009. In the first game, Michigan State upset Connecticut 82-73. The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Villanova Wildcats in the second game, 83 to 69. Tournament Structure
The tournament format begins with 65 teams. The two lowest-seeded teams compete in the Play-in Game. Once the top 64 are established, a team must win four consecutive games to reach the Final Four.Recent Final Four Teams
