Story
After the defeat of Sin, there is an uneasy peace in Spira. Yuna has given up her summoning ways and has joined a group of sphere hunters, which include Rikku and Paine, to find all the spheres. These spheres contain important information and many people are willing to pay a high price to fetch these items. In true Final Fantasy style, the girls learn about an evil plot that threatens the peace that has finally come to Spira. It's up to them to save the world from war. There are plenty of references back to FF X and more of the story is uncovered in this game.Gameplay
The gameplay is very different from the previous ten version. The Active Battle System is sped up to the point that it almost feels like real-time and when attacks are timed correctly you can pull off powerful combos that increase the damage given to your opponents. Another added component is the dress sphere. Rather actually changing your jobs, the girls just need to change their outfit to get the benefits of different job classes. Instead of going to specific places to change classes, the girls can actually mid-battle to fight against certain foes that may have a resistance to other classes. Another way this game differs from other Final Fantasy games is that most of the map is already open to the players. To move to another area on the map you only need to complete a handful of missions, although the side missions are every bit as important since you'll be receiving special items. There is also a plethora of other minigames to play which offers some of the best items.
