Story
1,000 years the world was almost destroyed in a legendary war involving magic. In the aftermath of the war, the power of magic was lost. People started to develop technology to replace magic however it is not yet very advanced. A powerful empire is amassing strength and expanding its reach in an attempt to rule the world. Emperor Gestahl decides to revive magic and use it as a source of ultimate power. You follow a group of adventurers who team up with a rebel faction known as The Returners. You and your group band together to stop Emperor Gestahl before he actually destroys the world. -
Gameplay
There are over a dozen playable characters, each with their own unique ability and depending on how you build your party, you will have a very different experience. There is a monk-in-training, Sa feral child who was raised among wild animals, and a technology buff who can use powerful tools to inflict major damage on enemies plus many others. By equipping magicite, almost all characters can learn magic spells, although some are more suited than others. There are different types of magicite to collect and equip, and each one allows you to learn a different spell. The battles are all random, and occur very frequently, and are completely turn-based. -
